Hello! We are Millie and Dan. We live in St. Paul, Minnesota and we have three kids. We really enjoy being parents and, although we can’t make any more children on our own, we still have a lot of love in our hearts that we’d like to share with another child. Through adoption, we look forward to broadening our perspectives and nourishing new relationships.
When we first started dating in high school, we had no idea where our journey together would take us, but we knew that we wanted to raise a family together. Looking back, we realize that our most meaningful and memorable moments have been with our children.
We truly enjoy being parents. We’ve structured our lives so that we can spend as much time with our children as possible. We go on vacations together and we celebrate holidays together. As a baby, your child will be the focus of our attention.
We've been together since we started dating in High School.
Each of our three kids is totally unique. Every day, we learn something new about them or they teach us something new about ourselves.
Millie has a degree in Elementary Education and Dan has a degree in History. For a while we had regular jobs, but shortly after Abigail was born Millie decided to open a toy store. A few years later, Dan quit his day job and joined Millie. Our kids have literally grown up in our store and we hope to raise our adopted child the same way.
Our family plays together, works together, vacations together, and learns together!
We believe in equality, the power of laughter, living in the moment as much as possible, kismet, serendipity, and tipping well in restaurants. We believe in responding to a baby’s needs right away and keeping them close all the time. Our hope for our children is for them to each find their own way in the world and grow into the person they were meant to be. As parents, we believe it is our job to help them do that.
We believe that open adoption offers us the chance to grow our family in a way that also grows our connections with the world. We also believe that open adoption benefits an adopted child and allows him or her to remain connected to their full heritage. We are very open to creating the type of open adoption which works best for you and for your child.
